We Truly Care About Your Health

My name is Lori Bell, I’m a herbalist, mom of 4 and I’ve been lucky to be married to a wonderful supportive husband for over 30 years!

Please read below to learn a little about me and how I got inspired to become an herbalist. I’m someone with a very curious mind, I love learning about herbal medicine and how it can be used to keep our body vibrant!

Throughout the years of raising a big family we’ve had our fair share of colds, cuts and bruises. Using the knowledge I’ve gained I have been able keep my family healthy using herbal medicine and nutrition.

Please don’t get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for doctor’s and all that they do, but we’ve forgotten how to care for ourselves. There are plenty of home remedies you can do in the middle of the night when your children get ill.  (I wrote a book about this as well!) No one knows your children better than you do whether you are their mom, dad or care taker. I believe that finding the problem right from the beginning, and then being proactive about it makes a huge difference in the healing process.  I put a lot of love into my products and I hope you enjoy and love them as much as we have!

How I was introduced to herbal medicine

My interest in herbal medicine began in 1992 when our oldest daughter, Jessika was just a baby. She had reoccurring health problems that doctors couldn’t get under control. Their answer was to give massive doses of medicine that compromised her immune system along with wanting to perform surgery. As young parents, we wanted to put our faith into the doctors’ hands, but when I started to feel that they were mechanically going through the motions to treat our baby, something inside me shouted, “There has to be another way!”

As fate goes, I noticed an herbal heath food shop as I was driving home with our daughter from an emotional doctor’s appointment. At that point I was open for any options. The wonderful woman who owned the shop took a look at Jessika and started gathering a few herbal remedies. Before I left her shop she gave me some quick instructions on how to help nurse Jessika back to health. I had two weeks to get Jessika healthy before my next doctors’ appointment and when they wanted to schedule surgery. I diligently followed her instructions, and we saw great improvements, but we wondered if that was enough. During the appointment I nervously kept silent as the doctor checked Jessika. Then, a little doubt started creeping up inside me as he looked at me and asked, “What did you do to your daughter?” I felt the blood drain from my face and asked him, “Why?” Then he said, and I’ll never forget these words because they changed my life, “Your daughters infection is completely gone, and she is totally healthy, there’s no need for surgery.”  I started to cry in relief as I told him what I did. He looked at me and told me to “NEVER take your childs health into your own hands, because you don’t understand the human body and how to treat it.”  I thanked him, gathered my baby and left. He’ll never know how he affected the direction of my life. From that day forward I had an insatiable appetite for learning everything I could about the human body and how to treat it naturally with herbal medicine.

Becoming an Herbalist

In 1999 I found the “Australasian College of Health Sciences,” (now called “American College of Healthcare Sciences” https://www.achs.edu ) an accredited on-line course, that taught me in detail about the human body and how to retain optimal health using herbal medicine. It was a very challenging course, but in August 2003, I graduated with honors and I loved every minute of it.

In 2004 I was honored to be chosen by my college to receive the “Outstanding Graduate Award.” One person from each long distance (on-line) ‘accredited’ schools or colleges from the U.S.A.  was chosen to represent their School. I flew out to Washington D.C. and was one of the spoken speakers at the DETC (Distance Education & Training Council) Award ceremonies. I spoke about what it meant to me to continue my education at this level while staying at home raising my children.

My first product I created for retail was the “Herbal First-Aid Ointment.” I originally formulated  this ointment specifically for stubborn, temperamental baby bottoms, when our boys were babies. I soon discovered that this ointment was very effective on a wide range of uses for the entire family (pets too).

It is my greatest pleasure to share my products with you and hope that they are as healing and helpful for you as they have been for me and my family and friends.

Thank you,

Calendula Face Serum

Dear Lori,

I want to thank you for your Calendula Face Serum! I’ve gone to my dermatologist and he asked me what I was doing to my skin, I got a little panicky but said I was using a new Face Serum. He said my skin looked much better then the last time I came it! My face and neck looks smoother & feels smoother then ever before! I’ve been looking for a good face product for a long time, I finally found a great one!

Herbal First-Aid Ointment

Dear Lori,

I usually don’t write testimonials for anything because I haven't used anything in a long time that has worked the the way Lori’s products do. I’m 74 years old and have been suffering with eczema for of 20 years. The last 10 years have been like torture! I have eczema so bad on both hands I’ve been unable to hand sew, one of my passions for 10 years. I have tried everything, and have gone to every doctor I could find. I’ve changed my diet, soaps, lotions you name it I gave it a try. I meet Lori at her booth at Victoria Garden’s Farmers Market. She took one look at my hands, and started to rub her “Herbal First-Aid Ointment” on my hands as we talked. I was skeptical because nothing else has worked. I bought her “Magical Ointment” and used it 4-5 a day for the first week and saw great improvement, the second week there was days I only used it 2-3 times a day. After the 2nd week I just had to visit Lori at her booth again. I’ll never forget that day, she saw me coming and she stepped out of her booth to greet me. I don’t know what came over me but I started to cry when I saw her, she grabbed my hands after she hugged me and looked at me in surprise. My eczema was 95% gone from my hands, I had a little stubborn area on one of my fingers that was the worse of them! I was telling her that it was a miracle and that I starting sewing again all because of her and her “Magical Ointment”!  Lori was moved to tears as well. I will always be thankful! I don’t know what she has to do to make her ointment work like nothing else I’ve ever used, but her “Herbal First-Aid Ointment” is amazing! Lori reminds me of the stories of the healers from the past who really knows plants and how to use them for healing their patients. I’m very proud of her and what she is doing out of the love of herbal medicine!

Artisan Soap

Lori’s soaps are always superb. They don’t only smell amazing, but they are amazing for the skin. The scent lasts until the very end of the bar and they never break apart.

Lip Balm

Absolutely my favorite lip balm. The scent is so calming and comforting, I keep one in my desk at work and use it as a little pick-me-up. The balm itself is fantastic - moisturizing, soothing, and long-lasting without being sticky. My lips are quite sensitive, but this makes them feel great without feeling like I have thick, waxy build-up on my lips.
